NEW RELEASE – The Good Auld Days
My take on the classic by Brook Benton
A Glaswegian twist on the 'O.K. Corral' classic
A dirty rat fae Pollok... who moved tae Penilee
Let's get up and dance the grey away!
I was born and raised in Glasgow's murky Pollok housing scheme, writing and performing songs from the soil that mattered to me from a young age. I started writing in my tenement bedroom in the 80s and to this day, I still record my albums in a different tenement building just up the road. I'm never out the studio; I love music of all kinds, from Big Bill Broonzy to Kraftwerk. I've covered both of them for a start. I've never really let anyone hear my albums, so why not put them all online? We all know the world isn't a nice place, so let's sit back and have a laugh – let the blues do the talking.
'Rich Catch', 'The Slaves' and 'Power Plant' are my experiments in different genres of music.
